The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone “B” Kaduna, said it made a total of 264 seizures of 21 different items worth N2 billion within the last two months.
The contraband that was seized consisted of different smuggled items at various locations in the zone, including 98 pieces of foreign Jack knives, 870 pieces of foreign machetes, 61 used vehicles, and 18 means of conveyance.
The comptroller of the command, Dalha Chedi, made this known on Tuesday in Kaduna while showcasing the scorecard of the zone to newsmen, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Other items seized were; 3,016 bags of 25 and 50 kgs of foreign parboiled rice, 292 Jerry cans of foreign refined vegetable oil, and 2131 cartons of spaghetti, macaroni, and couscous.

He also listed the seized items to include 640 bales of foreign secondhand clothing, 147 sacks of foreign secondhand shoes, and 360 cartons of frozen poultry products.
Similarly, the Niger/Kogi Area Command of Customs, said it has seized 11 exotic cars, including a Range Rover with an illegal diplomatic number plate at the Babana-Benin Republic border.
The command said it also intercepted a truck laden with PMS-filled jerry cans and other items in November this year.
The Customs Area Controller, Niger/Kogi Command, Busayo Oluwagbemiga Kadejo made this known while displaying the seizures in Minna Niger State.
Kadejo said the cumulative duty paid value of all seized items was N56.6 million.
He, however, said N10 million in revenue was received by the command in November.
He said the vehicles with fake diplomatic number plates were being used by criminals, including kidnappers to escape arrest.
He said the command early this year, intercepted over 317 packages of compressed cannabis sativa weighing 253.6kg with an estimated value of N20.6 million.
A truck laden with Nigeria Railway Corporation locomotive slippers was also intercepted and handed over to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, he added.
