The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun II Area Command, generated N12.830 billion revenue between January and June, 2024, representing a 51 per cent increase from the N8.5 billion generated within the same period last year.
The Area Comptroller, Bisi Alade, who disclosed this in Abeokuta, said the feat showed the command’s diligence, professionalism and commitment to the growth of the national economy.
He said activities in the Free Trade Zones (FTZs) improved significantly in the last three months, with N3.486bn generated in April, N2.801bn in May and N3.664bn in June.

The customs’ boss added that there was a discovery of 11 factories and one bonded terminal which were now at different stages of registration in the zone.
