Federal Operations Units, Zone B, of Nigerian Customs have paraded three suspects arrested with 73 locally made single barrel riffles and 846 cartridges in Kaduna State.
The suspects, according to the Comptroller Zone B, Bashir Hamisu, said the items were to be delivered to criminals in Zamfara and Kaduna States.

He said the suspects were arrested at a location in Zamare waterside, Yauri Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
According to him, the suspects are assisting the zone with credible information as to the source of the items.
“The three suspects were arrested following a credible information received that their vehicle, a Mitsubishi canter, was loaded with 73 single barrel Riffles and 846 cartridges of live ammunitions concealed in 100 KG bags of locally grown rice,” he said.
The comptroller also commended other security agencies that assisted in the arrest of the suspects.
He further added that his personnel have equally intercepted 11 vehicles and foreign rice smuggled into the country across the states under the zone.
