Katsina Customs Command has arrested four suspected smugglers and seized contraband items with duty paid value of N205million.
Parading the seized items, the Comptroller of the Command, Abdullahi Kiriwa said the total number of seizures was 237 and were made in the last three months.
He said the seized items include 1844 bags of foreign rice, 186 bags of sugar, 132 cooking gas cylinders, 477 bales of foreign textiles and 123 bundles of second hand clothes.
According to him, the seizures were made possible through informed intelligence and operations carried out by officers and men of the command.
He called on well-meaning residents of the state to provide information that will be used as confidential to address smuggling.
