Customs intercepts N1.8m Indian hemp in Ogun

Customs Area Comptroller Haruna Mamudu while handing over the items to the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday said the patrol team covering Imeko area of the command made the seizure.
He said no arrest was made by the team. A breakdown indicated that 15 sacks of Indian hemp were intercepted on December 30, 2013, while 98 sacks were intercepted on January 3rd, this year.
The comptroller, who was represented by deputy-comptroller in-charge of Imeko border station, Dappa Williams, handed over the items to the representatives NDLEA, led by Abduallahi Sardauna.
