Customs intercepts 67 sacks of cannabis, 141 drums of petrol in Oyo

The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has intercepted 67 sacks of cannabis and 141 drums of petroleum products on the border of Nigeria and Benin Republic.

The NCS Area Controller in Oyo, Mr B.A. Jaiyeoba, who disclosed this during a press conference at the command’s headquarters, Agodi, Ibadan, said three men were arrested along with the seizures.

According to him, the unpatriotic Nigerians who were arrested along with the seizures have been handed over to the NDLEA.

The customs boss further said the command also intercepted over 2,000 bags of rice and nine different types of utility vehicles.

Jaiyeoba said other items intercepted by the command were 80 tyres, 16 sacks of second hand shoes and bags, 45 bales of second hand clothing, 2,015 cartons of frozen poultry products and 16 25-litre gallons of vegetable oil.
