Customs intercept goods worth N236.8m in Kaduna

Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B, Kaduna Comptroller Albashir Hamisu said the unit seized goods worth N236.834,525.53 million from April 26 to June 29, 2022.

Speaking shortly after displaying the items intercepted at the zonal headquarters in Kaduna, the comptroller said the seizure was made from various locations within the zone.

He listed the seizures made to include 882 bags of foreign parboiled rice (100kg, 50kg, 25kg), 177 bales of foreign second-hand clothing, and 273 kegs of premium motor spirit (PMS), 124 cartons of unregistered pharmaceuticals.

Others are 282 cartons of foreign spaghetti and Macaroni, 73 pieces of foreign used tyres, 52 bundles of foreign new textiles, 48 bags of foreign parboiled rice 25kg, 40 pieces of foreign condensed milk, 35 kegs of foreign vegetable oil, among other items.
