Customs intercept adulterated diesel, cannabis

The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operation Unit, Zone ‘C’ Owerri, Imo State, has intercepted a truck carrying adulterated diesel and cannabis.

The truck with registration number GBB 85 XA was intercepted along Aba-Owerri road. Also impounded was a truck loaded with cannabis in 1,017 50kg sacks estimated at over N16m on the Benin-Shagamu road on December 7. The Area Comptroller in charge of the unit,  Mohammed Uba Garba, said the seized petroleum product caused blockage of heavy duty machines and generators which equally emit hazardous carbon monoxide that is detrimental to public health.
