Federal Operations Units (Zone B) of Nigerian Customs, Comptroller Albashir Hamisu, said 10 sacks of foreign gun powder worth over N229 million were intercepted by his men in the zone.
The comptroller, who made the disclosure at the zone’s headquarters along Kaduna-Zaria highway while displaying some seizures made in the zone from August 26 to September 30, described the arrest as a big success.

He also added that 112 parcels of cannabis sativa (hemp) were seized.
According to him, most of the criminals use Indian hemp to perpetrate crimes in the country.
Hamisu mentioned other items seized within the period under review to include 174 bags of borax decahydrate disodium; 1,177 cartons of foreign tomato paste and 664 bags of foreign parboiled rice, among others.
