Operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service attached to Seme Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, have intercepted a 1÷20ft container carrying some items suspected to be tramadol capsules.
The street value of the consignment was out at about N1.45 billion.

It was learnt that the illicit drugs were allegedly concealed with two hundred 200 packages of jumbo size adult diapers.
Authority in charge of the Seme Command of the Service gave the container number is as MRKU 9090415 .
The Customs Controller, Seme Area Command, Bello Jibo, who confirmed the seizure said the container was handed over to the Command on the 15 November 15, 2021 by the Republic of Benin Authorities under transit to Nigeria.
Jibo explained that the container was then put under the watch of officers of the Command as no importer or his representative, after the handover, came forward to continue the process of clearance procedure.
He said the Command has also initiated a full-scale investigation with a view to fish out those involved in this illicit importation.
