The raging cult war in Ogun State has failed to abate following the killing of another kingpin on Sunday night in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Some members of the Aiye cult group hacked down an area boy popularly known as Matasaka of the rival Eiye confraternity; a development which sent jitters down the spines of residents.

A witness said the killers “opened fire” on him at the gate of a popular lounge before they later hacked him to death.
The source said fun seekers at the lounge took to their heels as soon as the first shot hit him, a development which made the assailants “have a field day during their operation.”
A gory picture of the victim’s body which has gone viral shows machete cuts on his head and body.
Daily Trust reports that more than 20 deaths have been recorded in the renewed cult clashes in the last two months in the state.
The police spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, did not responded to calls as of the time of filing this report.
