Hoodlums suspected to be cultists have shot and killed a man inside the abattoir section of the Swali Ultramodern Market in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
City & Crime gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday evening.
A trader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told said that the suspected cultists had been terrorising the market without any confrontation by the security agents.
He said he preferred anonymity out of fear of being attacked by the hoodlums who lorded over the market, stating that the cultists who were looking for the victim’s younger brother shot him in the chest claiming he was shielding his brother.

Police spokesman in Bayelsa State, ASP Musa Mohammed, was yet to issue a statement on the incident.
