Another resident of the area Yekini Akanmu said some people that got information that the cultists would strike warned Tajudeen to stay away from the house but he ignored the advice.
“When the cultists got to the house, they shot Tajudeen and then butchered him. He died before policemen came. It was very unfortunate”, he said.
The Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, said the cultists shot Tajudeen’s 62-year-old mother on her leg when she was begging them not to kill her son. The PPRO said the remains of the deceased were evacuated and deposited at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
