C’ttee confirms parallel APC congresses in Enugu

The APC Congress Committee for Enugu State has confirmed that parallel ward congresses were held in the state. 

 The chairman of the 6-man committee, Dr. Ikechukwu Odikpo, made this known while addressing hundreds of party faithful at the APC secretariat during a pre-congress meeting last weekend. 

 Although Odikpo expressed dismay at the failure of the party’s stakeholders in the state to unite in the interest of the party, he insisted that his committee would not impose officials on the party. 

 Odikpo, however, enjoined party leaders in the state to close ranks, adding that the committee had received a directive from the National Working Committee (NWC) to deal with only the party chairman in the state.
