The presidential candidate of the Action Alliance, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd), yesterday said the discovery of oil and gas led to the collapse of some many major industries in the country.
He said the collapse of textile, tyre industries and paper mills created unemployment.
He spoke in Abuja yesterday at the 34th annual national education conference of the National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria (NUTGTWN), an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
