Crown Flour Mill Limited, a subsidiary of OLAM AGRI International, said it has empowered over 10,000 women wheat farmers in Northern Nigeria.

The beneficiaries, the firm said, were supported with hybrid seedlings as part of efforts to increase cultivation and complement the federal government’s food security programme.

The firm’s Vice President (Commercial), Dr Bolaji Anifowose, who stated this in Abuja during a Gala Night organised to honour outstanding customers in the Northern part of the country, said OLAM AGRI International has also provided infrastructural facilities as part of its social responsibility.

Anifowose assured that the company would continue to commit significant resources to women’s empowerment as well as protecting customers in the flour business.

The company’s General Manager, National Logistics and Supply Chain, Dr. Vitus Kasa, said the management would continue to appreciate the contributions of customers, which has led to the expansion of the company significantly.

Kasa said the company’s feedback mechanism has not only led to increased productivity but also developed and sustained the quality of products.

One of the outstanding customers, Alhaji Hamisu Rabiu from Kano State, said despite the global economic situation, the company was still maintaining a very cordial relationship with customers in 64 countries, which has saved many retailers from bankruptcy.

Over 300 customers were recognised and appreciated for their outstanding performances for the years 2021 and 2022.
