Crowd overwhelms security agents as Buhari visits Jos

A massive crowd at the Rwang Pam stadium in Jos North local government area of Plateau State on Saturday overwhelmed security agents when President Muhammad Buhari arrived the stadium for his campaign rally.
Security agents used hand tasers and knock outs to disperse the crowd all to no avail.
President Buhari who arrived the stadium in company of Governor Simon Bako Lalong could not alight from the vehicle until 20 minutes later when some armed soldiers temporarily pushed the crowd backwards.
The crowd took over the two podiums chanting “sai Baba” while others climbed the roof top of vehicles in the presidential entourage in an attempt to have a glimpse of him.
An hour after the President took his seat, the event could not commence as security agents tried tirelessly to push the crowd behind a barrier.
Daily Trust reports that the crowd had broken through a barrier 20 minutes before the President’s arrival when they mistook the arrival of certain dignitaries for the President.
