Chairman of the chieftaincy planning committee, Mr. Gabriel Agba said they were very happy that President Muhammadu Buhari appointed him a minister, adding that they are proud of his accomplishments so far in the power sector.
They reminded the minister about electricity challenges, which had plagued them for very long and appealed for quick intervention.
“The power supply in our villages is not regular because of the low tension cables down from Igwo community to Uwkel-Obudu. We, therefore, fervently appeal to you to look into this major problem.”
He said the communities are in need of more modern amenities to improve the people’s wellbeing.
Accepting the honour, Jedy-Agba said that he was humbled by the display of love towards him as exemplified by the freewill land donation as well as, the elaborate reception organised in his honour.
He assured that he would look into their requests.
