The Allied Peoples Movement (APM), one of the 18 registered political parties, has suspended the entire members of its Board of Trustees (BOT) until further notice.
The party said this in a communiqué signed by 30 members of the executive at the end of its emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) in Abuja.
- No compensation for demolished mosques, churches – Borno govt
- Dealing with adolescent pregnancy in Nigeria
It mandated the National Working Committee to henceforth continue to function in their stead.
This is amidst N27million accusation and counter-accusation levelled against each other by the National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, and the suspended BoT Chairman, Alhaji Muhammed Bagana.
However, Bagana has said the suspension of the BoT was illegal and could not stand.
He also faulted the claim that the party had no money to conduct its national convention, accusing the national chairman of diverting N17m party funds.
Debunking the allegations as untrue, Dantalle said it was the BoT chairman who could not account for N10m released to him when the party had no bank account.
