Labour Party (LP) has suspended Eragbe Anslem, its Youth Leader, over alleged forgery and usurping the functions of the National Chairman and Secretary of the party.
Addressing journalists at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi, National Publicity Secretary, said accused Anslem of issuing certificates to groups unknown to the leadership of the party without the approval of the National Working Committee or the National Chairman.
The party spokesman said Anslem who has been replaced by Prince Kennedy Ahanotu in acting capacity was summoned to appear before the National Working Committee (NWC) but he was unable to defend himself which led to the suspension for six months.
Ahanotu who was presented to the media as the new Youth leader promised to be loyal to the party and work for its success in the 2023 general elections.
