The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of AJ Entertainment, Chukwuebuka Gabriel Ilochonwu, has encouraged Nigerian youths to invest in their creativity to break out of the unemployment market.
He said with the technological breakthrough, what is needed more these days are what everyone can achieve with their creative abilities which can be turned into money making ventures if well harnessed.
“You do not need to wait on the government anymore for jobs, though it is part of their social responsibilities to the citizenry, whoever needs such jobs can apply, but individuals too can seek to become self-employed or employers of labour and this will help in solving the unemployment issues around.
“For instance, there are certain jobs that are powered first by one’s creative abilities before other considerations come in, and such opportunities are spread into different kind of endeavours in the entertainment world.
“Now, I’m into music, and in the industry are people who developed their raw talents with their educational background whether high or low is not the first consideration if they will succeed or not, the starting point is a check on the talents you can develop.
“What the academic qualification does is to open one’s eyes to areas where things can be fine-tuned for better output. So, I will encourage our youths to look inwards and see how they can maximise their God-given talents.”
Ilochonwu, popularly known as Ebuka, who is a United States-based music record label owner, said technology is helping a lot in today’s businesses, especially in music production, while he encouraged investors and practitioners in the industry to try and catch up with the opportunity technology has provided for better returns.
