Creating database for nomadic teachers challenging — Commission

The Executive Secretary, National Commission for Nomadic Education, Professor Bashir Liman, has said the commission is grappling with the challenge of creating a reliable data base for nomadic school teachers in the country.

He said tracking of teachers in nomadic schools in view of their critical role in teaching and learning outcomes is of great concern to the commission.

Liman disclosed this while speaking at the training workshop of enumerators for the conduct of teachers’ census and biometric data capturing of nomadic schools in Kaiama and Baruten Federal Constituency of Kwara State held in Kaduna.

Represented by the Director, Social Mobilisation and Women Development, Alhaji Mohammed Dan’iya, he said over the years, the commission had faced challenges arising from the dearth of teachers in terms of number and quality.
