He noted that the pandemic was putting enormous pressure on the global health system entirely thereby reversing some of the laudable progress made in the attainment of the SDGs.
He said: “In Yobe SDGs, we are trying to build partnership and collaborations to fight against the spread of this virus and this why we are making these donations”.
Items donated consisted full package 100 beds, 100 mattresses, 100 pillows, and 100 drip hangovers.
The Director Personnel Management of Fune Local Government, Abdu Mainasara Bumsa, while thanking SDGs for the support, said the equipment would enhance the delivery of effective health to patients.
Jummai N Waba, in charge of Damagum health centre, said the support wouldn’t have come at a better time than now because the facility was lacking some equipment.
She appealed to government and other development partners to construct additional wards that would expand the centre.
