The House of Representatives has suspended plenary for two weeks to mitigate the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The house leader Ado Doguwa (Kano), moved motion for the adjournment and seconded by Peter Akpatason (APC, Edo).
The adjournment followed adoption of a motion of urgent public importance by Femi Gbajabiamila and 9 others, which called on Nigerian government to protect the Nigerians against Covid-19.
Similarly, the house also passed the Economic Stimulus Bill that called on the Nigerian government to provide economic Stimulus packages including tax suspension and other measure to mitigate the effect of the virus on Nigerians.
