COVID-19 patient ‘conveyed in ambulance’ to write WASSCE in Gombe

A COVID-19 patient in Gombe State was said to have been conveyed in an ambulance to sit for his second paper in the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

This was disclosed in a tweet posted on Tuesday by the Gombe State Public Health Emergency Operations Centre (PHEOC) on its unverified Twitter handle, @GombePHEOC.

The student, who was said to be from Government Science Secondary School, Gombe, was transported to his school laboratory in an ambulance from an isolation centre, to enable him to sit for the Chemistry practical examination.
