“These people are suffering due to the COVID-19 pandemic and also from the killings and kidnappings.

“We have come in the name of the Baptist World Alliance to sensitise members of the communities on COVID-19 as well as distribute food and non-food items to representatives of all the tribes, Christians and Muslims as well as women and the youth from the affected LGA’s.

“We are trying to see what the international community can do to make sure that people who have been displaced are living well and have the privilege and hope of returning to their original base. Our hope is that 2021 will be a year of peace, a year of restoration and a year of unity.”

He reminded community members to be their brother’s keeper in line with the tenets of the holy books.

Responding, the president, Kaduna Baptist Convention, Reverend Ishaya Adamu Jangado, thanked the foundation for the gesture which he said came at the right time.
