Katsina State Government yesterday said it has recorded 24 deaths from COVID-19 since the death of its index case in April, while 705 people with the virus have been treated and discharged.
Speaking at the flag off of distribution of palliatives donated by CACOVID in the state, the chairman of the state’s rapid response team and deputy governor of the state, Mannir Yakubu said so far, 6,908 COVID tests were carried out in the state of which 746 tested positive.

He said 705 of those that tested positive have been treated and discharged while the state has 17 active cases at the moment.
According to him, 67,106 most vulnerable homes in the state are to benefit from the relief packages donated by CACOVID.
