Covid-19: JIBWIS’ Sheik Jingir declares total compliance to safety measures

The National Chairman of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’Ikatis Sunnah, (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, has declared his total compliance with the safety measures taken by both Federal and State Governments against the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

The spiritual leader of the group made the declaration in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Administration, Shiekh Nasiru AbdulMuhyi.

The statement stated that, “the organisation considered it imperative to restate its commitment in supporting government’s initiative against the escalation of COVID-19 and any measure that seeks to promote public safety and welfare of Nigerians at this critical period in our history.”

“To ensure our commitment, the scheduled National Seminar for Qur’anic Recitation Judges, Imams and other juristic participants of the group, has been terminated.

“The group assured authorities at all level of governance of its concluded arrangements to support the ongoing sensitization on social distancing, self isolation, management of public gathering and other hygienic measures which Islam already recognized that will guard against the epidermic or its escalation”

Recall that the leader of the group was quoted as saying that coronavirus pandemic was a propaganda to fight Islam.
