Daily Covid-19 infections rise to 416 after Sunday’s lull

The number of new coronavirus infections rose to 416 on Monday, after a dip to 307 on Sunday.

That’s an increase of more than 100 new cases in 24 hours, bringing the country’s cumulative total to 10,578.

A total 192 of the cases were recorded in Lagos and 41, the second highest number on Monday, in Edo, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control tweeted in its daily Covid-19 update Monday night.

Among the total number of infections, 3,122 patients have been discharges from hospital after treatment.

Another 299 people have died

The number of active cases spread treatment centres across the country stands at 7,175.
