COVID-19: Gwandu Emir bans royal Sallah homage

The monarch announced the ban in his Sallah message Wednesday.

In strict compliance with COVID-19 protocols, the Emir of Gwandu, Muhammadu Iliyasu Bashar, has banned the traditional royal Sallah homage in his palace.

As part of the tradition, all traditional tittle holders and other influential personalities among his subjects pay royal homage to the emir as part of the activities for the Sallah celebration.

The monarch announced the ban in his Sallah message Wednesday.
