Kano State Government in collaboration with Aspira Limited, a subsidiary of Lee Group of Companies have began spraying Kano streets, hospitals and other high density settlements within Kano metropolis with chlorine solution as part of a collaborated effort to curb the spread of the virus.
Speaking during the flag-off of the exercise, a director with Lee group of companies, Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna Zago, stated that though Kano State has no confirm case of COVID-19, the company and state government found it very necessary to implore all possible preventive measures to ensure that the spread of the virus is being curtailed.
He added that, the company has provided four fire-fighting trucks that will be used in the spraying.
In response, Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje revealed that the state has taken several measures to ensure that the spread of COVID-19 has been curtailed in the state.
He enjoined all well-meaning citizens, corporate organizations and individuals to join the fight against the spread.
