The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says it has received four ambulances donated by the Aliko Dangote Foundation to support its response to the coronavirus pandemic in Lagos state.
It announced its receipt of the vehicles in a tweet that pictured four buses.

It expressed gratitude for “collective efforts” by both government and private in response to the pandemic.

Tests have confirmed eight new coronavirus infections in the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said on Saturday, raising the national total to 89.
Seven are in Lagos, pushing the state’s total to 59–the biggest cluster for any Nigerian state.
The other is the first to be recorded in Benue.
Abuja’s 14 cases on record is second only to Lagos.
Ogun and Oyo have recorded three each, two in Enugu, Edo and Bauchi, and one each in Ekiti, Osun and Rivers.
