The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says it has observed total collapse and non-compliance with the curfew imposed by the government between hours of 10pm to 4am as part of the measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Motorists now travel at all hours of the day and night. Even in the FCT here, vehicles are seen plying the roads well beyond the curfew hours”, NOA Director-General, Garba Abari, said at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the agency had also noted the resumption of social life in large numbers. “Such events as weddings, naming ceremonies, lavish burial ceremonies, chieftaincy taking ceremonies, birthday parties, are beginning to hold despite all the warnings by states and health officials,” Abari added.
He also flayed the breach of COVID-19 protocols by politicians in Edo and Ondo States during their campaign activities ahead of the governorship elections there.
