Fifteen members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who tested positive for COVID-19 in Edo State, have been discharged from the isolation centre at the Stella Obasanjo Hospital.
A source at the hospital, who confirmed the development to Daily Trust, said the remaining two corps members were responding to treatment and would be discharged as soon as they tested negative for the virus.

The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the hospital, Dr Osagie Ebomwonyi, had, on Monday, told Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, during an inspection of the isolation centre that 17 out of the 18 patients receiving treatment there were corps members deployed to the state.
Meanwhile, NYSC coordinator in the state, Mrs. Abiodun Olubukola, in a statement yesterday, said there was no course for alarm.
“Prospective corps members and visitors who reported at the orientation camp were properly tested by National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) officials and those who tested positive were immediately handed over to the NCDC surveillance team on camp for further tests and treatment,” she said.
She said the prospective corps members, who tested positive, would be registered after negative confirmation by the NCDC.
