A total 13,833 households among the poor have benefited from the second phase of the Coalition Against Covid-19 (CACOVID) palliatives in Funtua Senatorial Zone of Katsina State.
The Chairman of CACOVID Zonal Implementation Committee and Deputy Speaker Katsina State House of Assembly, Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, while flagging off the second phase in Kankara Local Government Secretariat, said a similar number of households had benefited from the first phase, which was flagged off in October in Musawa Local Government Area of the zone.

In a statement by the deputy speaker’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Kabir Isa Bala, the palliatives had included 12,243 bags of rice, 10,488 bags of maize, 12,243 bags of sugar, 12,243 bags of pasta, 12,243 bags of salt and 24,000 cartons of noodles.
He further explained that six households from each of the 1,693 polling units of Funtua zone will benefit from the palliatives in addition to 3,800 committee members totaling 13,833 households in the zone.
The Chairman of the Funtua CACOVID Implementation committee commended Governor Aminu Bello Masari for ensuring that all committees responsible for the distribution are enabled and supported to deliver on their assignments.
