Ondo State Government has said that twelve suspected cases of COVID-19 in the state have all tested negative.
The state’s Health commissioner, Dr Wahab Adegbenro, disclosed this on Monday, saying the state is still free from the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said this follows the results of recent tests carried out on the 12 suspected cases in the state.
Adegbenro, who stated this after meeting with the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN and the State Inter-ministerial Committee on COVID-19, reiterated that vigilance and strict adherence to global best practices are the only antidotes to containing the spread of the disease.
He confirmed that the state had remained negative to the virus including the alleged case at Agadagba-Obon in Ese-Odo local government area of the state.
