Eleven health workers comprising three medical doctors and eight nurses working at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jalingo, Taraba State have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Medical Director of the center, Dr Aisha Shehu Adamu confirmed this to Daily Trust in an interview.

She said a total number of 11 medical personnel working in the centre tested positive for coronavirus out of which three are medical doctors while eight are nurses.
She said two other patients who are not staff of the centre have also tested positive for coronavirus and are on admission in the centre.
Daily Trust findings revealed that there is an increase in the number of coronavirus infections in the state especially in Jalingo the state capital from last week.
This is coming when government and private schools including the state university and other tertiary institutions reopened Monday in the state.
Reports from the state specialist hospital Jalingo also indicated that there are many coronavirus related cases there.
The state commissioner of Health, Dr Innocent Vakkai told Daily Trust that situation report would be released on Thursday during the state committee on coronavirus meeting when various hospitals bring in their reports.
