Court Sacks Taraba APC Governorship Candidate

A Federal high court sitting in Jalingo, Taraba state, has sacked Emmanuel Bwacha as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate.

In his ruling on Tuesday, Justice Simon Amobeda nullified the primary election which produced Bwacha as the APC candidate  in the state.

The judge barred Bwacha from parading himself as the governorship candidate of the APC and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to recognise Bwacha as a candidate.

He directed that a fresh governorship primary be conducted in the state within the next 14 days.

David Sabo Kente, one of the aspirants in the annulled primary, had filed a suit against Bwacha’s candidature.
