The presiding magistrate of Kano Magistrate’s Court number 58 sitting at Nomansland, Aminu Gabari, has revoked the bail earlier granted to Mua’zu Magaji Dansarauniya for not being present in court to answer his allegations of defamation against Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
According to Magaji’s counsel, Barrister Garzali Datti Ahmed, the court was billed to sit on Friday and his client was present.

However, the sitting was later agreed to take place on Monday.
After Ahmed complained that NBA’s meeting would take place on Monday as usual, the court then agreed for Monday at 2pm. His client was present before time.
“We agreed to come on Monday by 2pm when I complained that there’s NBA meeting and the moment we were arriving the court premise, we were taken aback that the court has sat and ordered revoking of my client’s bail.
“The registrar was called and he confirmed that we were given 2pm to which we were on time.”
Datti added that the court has now asked them to file an application seeking the suspension of the revoke bail and arrest of Magaji, send to the ministry of justice and file with the court.
The court had similarly ordered a bench warrant for his arrest and summoned his two sureties to appear on March 28.
