Leranmo alleged that the defendant, being a policeman serving in Ekiti, on the said date murdered one Abayomi Olaoye, 32, by shooting him with his gun.
According to him, the offence is punishable under Section 319 (1) of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
He said he had duplicated his case file to the office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution, DPP, for legal advice.
His plea was not taken as his counsel, Mr Ola Abiola, sought an adjournment till the outcome of the advice from DPP.
Chief Magistrate Abdulhamid Lawal consequently ordered that the defendant be remanded in correctional centre pending the legal advice from the office of DPP.
He adjourned the case to December 17, 2020, for further hearing.
