The Osun State High Court in Ikire on Wednesday remanded the prophet of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Solution Chapel, Ikoyi-Ile, in the state, Philip Segun, and two others over the gruesome murder of a 400 level student of Lagos State University, Favour Seun Oladele.

The 45-year-old man was remanded with two other accused persons; 49-year-old woman, Bola Adeeko, and her 26-year-old son, Owolabi Adeeko, for killing the student for money ritual.

They were arraigned on a two count charge of conspiracy to commit murder and murder contrary to Sections 324  and 316 (1) of the Criminal Code Law Cap.34 Volume 11 Laws of Osun State, 2002,

Prosecution team from the state Ministry of Justice led by acting Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Adekemi Bello told the court that the accused persons unlawfully killed Favour by hitting her head with a pestle while sleeping and severed her body parts.

The police officer in charge of the investigation from Mowe Police Division Headquarters, Ogun State, told the court that his team tracked IME number of the deceased phone to Ikoyi-Ile where the police arrested the accused persons.

In her ruling, Justice Christiana Olokede-Obadina remanded the accused persons in the custody of the Nigeria Correctional Centre pending the outcome of  the investigation.
