Leramo said the defendant defiled a 10-year-old girl who is his neighbour, when he invited her into his room and had carnal knowledge of her and warned her not to tell anybody.
The offence contravened Section 31 of the Child Right Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.
The magistrate, Mrs Mojisola Salau, ordered the remand of the defendant in the correctional facility, pending legal advice and adjourned the case until April 14, 2021.
