A magistrates’ court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Thursday, ordered the remand of a 47-year-old man, Olatubosun Fayakinnu, in a correctional centre dor allegedly assaulting a fellow man.
Fayakinnu was charged with sexual assault by penetration.
The Magistrate, Mrs A. B. Olagbegi-Adelabu, who did not take the suspect’s plea, adjourned the case to August 8, while waiting for legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Aminu Isaac, told the court that the suspect, on June 24, at No. 20, Island Avenue, in the Agric area of Ikorodu, hired a 25-year-old man to come and work for him in his house, but engaged him in sexual penetration through the anus.

The prosecutor alleged that the victim went blind after having sexual activity with the defendant.
He noted that the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 261 and 265 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. (NAN)
