A Badagry magistrates’ court in Lagos, on Monday, ordered that a 21-year-old man, Tobi David, be remanded for defiling a six-year-old girl.
Chief Magistrate Patrick Adekomaiya, who did not take the plea of David, ordered that he should be remanded in Kirikri Correctional Centre and directed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice before adjourning the case to June 6, 2022.

Earlier, the prosecutor, ASP Nkem Uko, told the court that David committed the offence on April 13, at about 10am at Ashipa Quarters, Sème area of Lagos, by luring the girl into his room and defiling her.
The prosecutor added that the minor was receiving treatment in the hospital. (NAN)
