An Ikeja magistrates’ court on Thursday remanded a 28-year-old man, Larry Rowland, for defiling a 17-year-old girl.
The Magistrate, Mrs Ejiro Kubeinje, who did not take the defendant’s plea, ordered that the case file should be sent to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case to June 7.

Earlier, the prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 7, on Segun Matanmi Street, Akesan, Lagos, by harassing the girl and forcefully having canal knowledge of her.

He further said, “The girl told her mother and the case was reported to the police and the suspected was subsequently arrested.” (NAN).
