A Kano Upper Shari’a Court sitting in Rijiyar Lemo Quarters of Dala LGA of the state has remanded a young man, Usman Aliyu Kurna, accused of assaulting his stepmother over a minor disagreement with his stepsister.
The accused was having an altercation with his stepsister, and when her mother intervened, he also beat her, as a result of which she sustained serious injuries.

He was arraigned by the police and charged with use of excessive power and inflicting injury to which he pleaded guilty.
