A magistrates’ court in Mubi LGA has remanded a lecturer, Garandi Danjuma Ijudigal, with the Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, in prison for alleged rape on campus.

The lecturer was said to have been caught pants down with a secondary school graduate in his office after which the victim’s family filed a case at the magistrates’ court.

Ijudigal, a lecturer in the Department of Geography, was charged before Magistrate Chivi Ali.

Confirming the incident, spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, Sulaiman Ngurore, explained that the case was initially filed without a police report and that the court referred the matter to the police for proper investigation.
