A magistrates’ court sitting in the Pada area of Zaria City in Kaduna State has remanded a man, Abdulkudus Yusuf, for inflicting injuries on his wife, Sa’adatu Habibu.
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Sa’idu Baban Ja’eh, sent the man to a correctional facility until August 15, 2023, when hearing in the case will begin.
He was charged for using force against his wife which fractured her arms and inflicted severe injuries on her body.
The prosecutor, ASP Sarki Abdullahi, told the court that on July 29, 2023, a man, Abdullahi Habibu, filed a complaint at the Pada Division that the accused attempted to kill his sister by breaking her arms, stabbing her with a bottle and attempting to cut her breasts.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges while confirming that he was mentally fit.
Meanwhile, the wife was said to be receiving treatment at the Wusasa Hospital, Zaria.
