A magistrate court in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State capital, has ordered the remand of Musa Nurudeen, 37, at a correctional facility for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter.
The Magistrate, O.F. Bamidele, ordered that the suspect be remanded pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, Ekiti State.
The prosecutor, E.S. Stance, told the court that the suspect committed the offence at their residence within Ado Ekiti Magisterial district on May 19, 2021.
The offence, Stance said, was contrary to Section 357 of the Criminal Code Cap. C 38 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The magistrate adjourned the case till August 11, 2021, for mention.
