Court remands 3 for looting LG office in Osun

A Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State on Thursday remanded three persons for breaking and looting Egbedore Local Government Secretariat, Ido-Osun.

Police prosecutor, Fatoba Temitope told the court that the accused, Idowu Wasiu, Adekunle Adewale and Adewunmi Damilalola, committed the offence on October 24, 2020 at about 9:30pm.

He said the suspects unlawfully assembled themselves in a manner to carry out some common purpose and damaged gate, window and door of the secretariat.

The prosecutor added that the offense was contrary to and punishable by section 34, 414, 516, 70 and 451 of Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State.

Defence Counsel, Akinwumi Babatunde, applied for the bail of the accused persons in  the most liberal term. But the Magistrate, Adijat Oloyade remanded the accused in correctional center in Ilesa and adjourned the case till November 26, 2020.
